Services Offered - Complete Restringing
- Taking into consideration the fact that there is a correct tension required to achieve the optimum sound from every string, we include string scale design as an important feature of our work. (Simply measuring the old strings and replacing them does not provide any guarantee of good sound quality).
- The top-quality steel string wire which we use for the tenor and treble sections of the piano is manufactured in Tennessee by The Mapes Piano String Company (the only piano string manufacturer in the United States.)
- Bass Strings are custom-measured and manufactured for each and every piano which we rebuild. Please note that a paper template is made of the hitch pins, bridge pins and agraffes of each piano. That pattern is then shipped to the Mapes Company, so that they can create the new bass strings based upon the speaking lengths of the individual piano.
